Temporary power
Power where you need it, for as long as you need it
A refurbishment, a site cabin, a changeover or an outdoor event can all need power where there is none. We plan, install and test temporary electrical supplies for commercial clients, event organisers and contractors, and remove them safely afterwards. Our team has a strong background in temporary and event power, and every temporary installation is treated with the same care as a permanent one.
Sites and buildings
Temporary site supplies
When the permanent supply is not ready yet, or is being replaced, work still has to carry on. We install temporary distribution for:
- Refurbishments and fit-outs, where the existing installation is being stripped out
- Site cabins, welfare units and Portakabins
- Temporary lighting and power for work areas
- Keeping essential equipment running during board or supply changeovers
- Plant and equipment that is only on site for a set period
Supplies are protected and labelled correctly, inspected while they are in use, and taken down when the permanent installation is ready.
Events
Event temporary power
Events run to a fixed date and the power has to be right before the gates open. We plan power distribution for outdoor and indoor events, working with the organiser, the venue and the generator or supply provider.

Planning
Planned around your programme
We agree what needs power, where and when, and size the supply and distribution for the load. Single phase and three phase supplies are planned so nothing is overloaded on the day.
Safety
Tested before use
Every temporary installation is inspected and tested before it is used, with the results recorded. On longer hires, we carry out checks while the supply is in place.
Removal
Taken down safely
When the work or the event is finished, we isolate, strip down and remove the temporary installation, leaving the area safe.

The temporary installation goes in ahead of time and is tested before anyone uses it.

Once you are finished, we take it all down safely.

FAQs
Common questions
Do you supply generators?
We work with your generator hire company or the venue's own supply, and install and test the distribution from it.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can. Events run to fixed dates, so the sooner we know the dates and the layout, the easier it is to plan.
Can you provide temporary power while our board is replaced?
Yes. Where essential equipment has to stay running, we can plan a temporary supply around the changeover.
