Industrial
Work planned around production
Most industrial work has to fit around production. We carry out electrical installation and repair work for units, workshops and factories across Leicester and the East Midlands, from machinery supplies and sub-mains to units being prepared for new tenants and lighting upgrades, with isolations agreed in advance.

Power
Three-phase power and machine supplies
A new machine needs a supply it can rely on. We check what the installation can take and run the supply it needs: a new three phase circuit, isolators and local controls, or extra capacity at the board. Where the existing supply isn't large enough, we set out the options.
- Three phase and single phase circuits for machinery and equipment
- Isolators, rotary switches and local distribution
- Workshop and production-line power
- Supplies for compressors, extraction, heating and air-con units

Containment
Containment
Cabling around machinery, racking and high-level runs needs protecting. We install steel and galvanised trunking, cable tray, cable basket and galvanised conduit, set out neatly and properly supported.
For bigger cable runs and sub-mains, tray and basket keep heavy cables supported over long distances and are easy to add to later. We plan routes with room to spare, and we can install containment on its own, for example ready for a new machine line, or as part of a bigger job.
We also install mineral-insulated (MICC or pyro) cabling where it's specified.

Landlords
Units ready to let
For landlords and building owners, an empty unit is lost income. We can strip out redundant installations, make everything safe, upgrade boards and lighting, and test and certify the unit.
The unit is then ready for the next tenant, with certification in place.

Lighting
Factory and warehouse lighting
Old high-bay fittings are often expensive to run and awkward to maintain. We install LED high bays and controls and sort the emergency lighting at the same time.
In a warehouse in Kibworth, for example, we installed round LED high bays, emergency lighting, and three phase and outdoor sockets. See our LED lighting upgrades page for more.
Repairs
Fault finding and repairs
Motors, starters and controls back in service. We find and repair faults on motors, DOL starters, control panels, and pump and float-switch controls, and report anything else that needs attention.
On a Leicestershire farm, for example, we've repaired motors, DOL starters and control panels. For an NHS site, we repaired a failed sewage pump system and then carried out a full refurbishment with new pumps and float switches. See repairs and maintenance for more.
Monitoring
Energy and power monitoring
More businesses want to see where their energy is going. We install power and energy-monitoring meters on boards and individual circuits. They're fitted safely and neatly, so the data you get is useful and the installation stays compliant.

How we work
- 01
Survey
We look at the site, the installation and what you're trying to achieve.
- 02
Quote
A written quote setting out what's needed.
- 03
Planned shutdowns
Isolations and changeovers are agreed in advance to keep downtime low. Work outside normal hours can be arranged.

FAQs
Common questions
Can you work around our production?
Yes. We plan isolations and noisy work with you in advance, and work outside normal hours can be arranged where it makes sense.
Our new machine needs three phase. Can you tell if our supply can take it?
We'll check the existing installation and load and confirm whether it can take the new machine. If a bigger supply is needed, we'll explain what's involved and put the application in to National Grid (formerly Western Power Distribution) on your behalf and liaise with them for you.
Do you look after landlords with several units?
Yes. We're happy to work across multiple units and keep the testing and paperwork consistent.
