Who we are
Commercial and industrial electrical contractor
J.C. Smith Electrical Ltd carries out electrical installation, upgrades, repairs and maintenance for businesses, building owners and facilities teams. Our work ranges from office and commercial fit-outs to three phase supplies, distribution boards, lighting, fire alarms and temporary power. Every project is managed from the first survey through to testing and certification.
How we work
Planned, tidy and certified
- We look first. We visit, see the building and talk through what you need before we quote.
- Clear written quotes. You know exactly what's included before work starts.
- Planned around you. Dates, access and shutdowns are agreed in advance. Our normal hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 5pm, and work outside those hours can be arranged.
- Neat installations. Cable routes set out straight, containment properly supported and boards clearly labelled.
- Tested and certified. All work is tested and certified to BS 7671, with certificates issued on completion.
- Tidy sites. As a registered waste carrier, we dispose of old fittings and electrical waste under the WEEE regulations, with waste transfer notes provided.

Direct, or alongside your team
We work directly for building owners, occupiers and landlords, and alongside facilities managers, project managers and main contractors. On fire alarm work, we partner with a specialist fire alarm company for design, commissioning and servicing.
